Abstract

[Objective/Meaning] Exploring the discipline construction and development of information science based on the perspective of national security and development is of reference value for the development of information science with Chinese characteristics. [Research Design/Method] This paper summarizes the existing academic achievements on the discipline construction and development of information science by using literature analysis methods, and finds out the problems existing in the construction and development of information science, and proposes a new systematic discussion about the construction and development of information science. [Conclusion/Discovery] The article mainly analyses the major problems faced by the discipline construction of information science at present and the disputes faced by the domestic information academia in the orientation and development direction of the discipline. On this basis, it puts forward the main contents of the follow-up discipline construction of information science from two aspects: the construction of the disciplinary knowledge system and the construction of the functional organizations of the discipline. The work in the article has a certain reference value for the follow-up discipline construction and the research activities in the field of information science.
