Abstract

A large number of method entities are mentioned by academic papers in the field of Information Science.Identifying and analyzing the method entities can help researchers make a comprehension of the discipline and find the appropriate method for their own research.The methods corpus with high quality is the foundation of extracting method entities from academic articles.This article proposes an annotation framework of method entity and carries out the construction of methods corpora.Specifically，we first construct the structured full-text corpus of academic articles of Information Science;after that，we identify the method sentences and method entities to obtain the methods corpora by manual annotation.This research shows that the corpus construction framework proposed in this paper can well complete the annotation of corpus entities，and the results can be used as a basic database to provide training data for the automatic extraction of information method entities.
