Abstract
[Purpose/significance]The paper explores the regional cooperation and their differences in artificial intelligence research teams.It is helpful to reveal the status and strategies of scientific cooperation models across regions or within regions.[Method/process]This paper was based on the publication data of the Web of Science category Computer Science,Artificial Intelligence from 2009 to 2018,and did data cleaning via programming and manual check,and extract and identify research teams from multiple dimensions.Then,this paper divides three types of cooperation models by regional.It comprehensively analyzes the three aspects of geographical distribution,internal cooperation indicators,and cooperation topics in the research teams from the perspective of comparisons.At the same time,It also highlights the comparison of AI research teams in China and the United States.[Result/conclusion]The research results show that:Chinese and foreign AI research maintains close ties with major scientific research countries;Chinese domestic cooperation is highly dependent,and international cooperation is conducive to crossing into the leading team;China's domestic AI cooperation research is mainly manifested in the data processing and application level,while the core technology level and basic algorithm level need to cooperate with foreign countries;Both China and the United States occupy an important position in international cooperation and they are close partners with each other.
