Abstract
[Purpose/significance]Provide ideas and references for the application study of information science in the new era.[Method/process]The paper makes a literal reviews on information science application studies from development changes,influence domains and scopes and changes of analysis methods to analyze changes of information science in the new era.According to these changes,it analyzes the impact and influence scopes of information application from the six domains which are scientific research,military affairs, public safety, science and technology,economics and decision support.And six related cases are used to explain the application methods and process of information application on the relevant domains.[Result/conclusion]The cases study shows that the domains of information application in the new era could be broader.And its application methods and styles will be general and plentiful.In future,information application could play a role in more domains.
